About the Cellerant Best of Class Technology Award

Since the inaugural presentation in 2009, the Best of Class Technology Awards have grown to occupy a unique space in dentistry by creating awareness in the community of manufacturers that are driving the discussion as to how practices will operate now and in the future.

Ultradent founder Dr. Dan Fischer is shifting out of his longtime role as CEO and will remain active with the company as CEO Emeritus. He will be involved in a variety of capacities such as research and development projects, outreach, and lecturing.

Jeffs joined Ultradent in 1996 and has led countless growth opportunities, including developing satellite operations in Europe, Japan, China, and Brazil.

The donation of disposable facemasks will help mitigate the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) for front line professionals battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re all deeply indebted to the medical professionals saving lives and reducing suffering caused by this pandemic,” says Ultradent President, Dirk Jeffs. “The work being done both in Utah and around the world is admirable. We’re hoping these masks will help our Utah neighbors in their fight against this virus.”

The Utah Coronavirus Task Force (along with multiple state legislators) issued a request for businesses to donate PPE including disposable face masks.

“From the bottom of our hearts, the University of Utah Health team expresses our deep appreciation for the generous outpouring from community members as they find ways to support and protect our health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic,” says University of Utah Health’s Executive Director of Network Development and Telehealth, Tad Morley. “We are especially thankful for the generosity of local businesses, which give even while many are suffering themselves during this time.
