Ultradent Products, Inc., is partnering with Four Foods Group to offer free meals to members of the Ultradent family who have been laid off or furloughed as a result of COVID-19 related changes.

The Relief Packs program provides meals from local eateries at no cost to the recipient, courtesy of generous public donations and the efforts from Four Foods Group—along with Ultradent employees.

“We’re exploring all possible ways to help our employees impacted by budget cuts and we’re thankful to be working with Four Foods Group and their Relief Packs program,” says Ultradent President Dirk Jeffs. “Our hearts go out to all those affected by this pandemic. We’re taking every effort to minimize impacts on our employees, and we hope this program helps those going through tough times.”

Recipients of the Reliefs Packs program are able to select meals from R&R BBQ, Costa Vida Fresh Mexican Grill, and Mo’ Bettahs.

Ultradent employees are able to help their laid off and furloughed colleagues by donating to the Relief Packs program.

The latest innovation in dental restorative technology – the Uveneer Extra template system – is now available through Ultradent Products, Inc., a global manufacturer and distributor of dental materials and equipment.

The Uveneer Extra template system complements the original Uveneer template system to provide more natural restorations with four new upper anterior designs – Extra Large, Large, Medium, and Square templates. The templates work with any preferred composite to create exquisite, reproducible composite veneers with predictable shape and symmetry.

Dr. Sigal Jacobson’s desire to create elegant and efficient veneers inspired her to create the Uveneer template family. “Composites have developed to the point that we’re able to really change patients’ lives by doing more composite work [. . .] Dentistry is going toward natural looking surface textures, so Uveneer Extra has more natural templates which were scanned from real people.”

These unique, autoclavable* templates prevent the oxygen inhibition layer from forming during the curing process resulting in hard, glossy surfaces – while also allowing light to pass through to the composite for effective curing.

Splatter is a near constant concern for dental hygienists during polishing, with 80 percent reporting at least a moderate amount while using their current prophy angle. After switching to the Ultrapro Tx Sweep DPA, five out of six hygienists experienced a significant reduction in splatter. 95 percent said they encountered little to no splatter compared to their former angle.

Ultrapro Tx Sweep DPA’s performance upgrades come from the unique brush guard attached near the head of the angle, effectively “sweeping” away saliva and prophy paste as it accumulates. This method significantly reduces splatter by 95 percent*. The flexible bristles of the brush guard prevent splatter before it gathers by efficiently stopping saliva and paste from collecting and roping around the outside of the cup.

In order to reduce prophy paste waste and keep the treatment field clean, the Ultrapro Tx Sweep DPA sweeps excess saliva and paste back toward the tooth. This allows the hygienist to continue working, with no need to refill the cup with additional paste.

Between March 1 and August 1, 2019, more than $1.8 million was raised through Smiles for Life, the charitable arm of the Crown Council. This was an aggressive goal and one that we are proud to be a part of!

Since 1998, the campaign has raised almost $44 million benefitting more than a thousand children’s charities in North America.
