May 23, 2023 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials and equipment is proud to be Certified™ by Great Place to Work® for the third year in a row. This prestigious award is based entirely on what current employees say about their experience working at Ultradent. Great Place to Work® is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention, and increased innovation.

“Great Place to Work Certification™ isn’t something that comes easily. It takes ongoing dedication to the employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, Vice President of Global Recognition at Great Place to Work. “It’s the only official recognition determined by employees’ real-time reports of their company culture. Earning this designation means that Ultradent is one of the best companies to work for in the country.”

Ultradent’s CEO and President, Dirk Jeffs, remarked, “We’re honored to hear that Ultradent received its Great Place to Work Certification for the third year in a row. Great Place to Work’s rigorous standards, based entirely on anonymous employee feedback, makes it one of the most respected recognitions for a company to receive. We’ll continue to work hard to preserve and continuously improve upon Ultradent’s uniquely caring, people-first culture that made this distinguishment possible.”

According to Great Place to Work research, job seekers are 4.5 times more likely to find a great boss at a Certified great workplace. Additionally, employees at Certified workplaces are 93% more likely to look forward to coming to work, are twice as likely to be paid fairly, earn a fair share of the company’s profits, and have a fair chance at promotion.

  • Ultradent Launches BFC3™ Powered Impression Gun

May 16, 2023 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials, is announcing the BFC3 impression gun—Ultradent’s first cordless, handheld, motorized tool to express dental impression material. Designed for efficiency, precision, and convenience, the BFC3 impression gun streamlines dental impression procedures and chairside material dispensing.

Featuring an ergonomic design, the BFC3 impression gun is compatible with standard 25 ml, 50 ml, and 75 ml 1:1 or 2:1 automix cartridges. It has an adjustable flow rate that optimizes the expression of various impression materials, allowing clinicians to be in full control of the amount of material needed for each procedure. The BFC3 impression gun's anti-drip feature momentarily reverses the plunger when the dispensing trigger is released, preventing waste, and ensuring a clean working environment. It also includes an auto-stop feature with overload protection when a cartridge has been emptied (ensuring safety and product longevity).

With a charging time of just 2 ½ hours for a full charge, the BFC3 impression gun can dispense up to 60 full 50 ml heavy body VPS cartridges on a fully charged battery. A low battery indicator light alerts users to when a recharge is needed, with the ability to dispense up to 10 additional full cartridges after the light illuminates. The battery charger features a full-charge indicator LED and overcharge protection circuitry, ensuring the device's longevity.

The BFC3 impression gun is compatible with Thermo Clone™ VPS and Chromaclone™ PVS impression material lines, alginate alternative material, bite registration, and impression mixing tips. It provides flexibility and convenience to dental professionals. The device's compatibility with the Thermo Clone line allows dental professionals to save time with the impression material’s exclusive Thermal-accelerated set.

  • Ultradent Unveils New Universal Shade Composite

May 9, 2023 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials, is announcing the launch of Transcend™ universal composite, a new composite material providing unmatched esthetics and handling properties. Transcend composite is designed to simplify the restorative process by allowing dentists to complete most restorations with just one shade of composite.

Thanks to Ultradent's Resin Particle Match™ technology, Transcend composite offers high levels of translucency, allowing for ideal pigmentation and opacification to match the surrounding dentition. The Universal Body shade also has optimal opacity to help block the underlying tooth color, eliminating the need for a blocker shade.

"Transcend composite enables dentists to achieve excellent esthetic results with ease," says Ultradent Sr. VP of Research & Development, Neil Jessop. "Its unique formulation offers the perfect balance of flexibility, strength, and gloss retention to ensure the long-lasting results patients are seeking."

Transcend composite is a nanohybrid formula that combines high strength and easy sculptability, making it ideal for both posterior and anterior composite restorations. The handling properties of Transcend composite have been finely tuned to be firm but malleable, allowing it to stay in place without drooping or slumping during manipulation. The material is highly wear-resistant, but also less abrasive to opposing dentition than other composites on the market.

In addition to the Universal Body shade, Transcend composite features four dentin shades and two enamel shades for cases when a layering technique is appropriate. These layering shades were handpicked to include only the most popular shades from Ultradent's esthetic composite lines to ensure dentists have the shades needed to accomplish restorative work done on a regular basis

  • Ultradent Adds 168,000 Sq. Ft. Facility to Campus

May 3, 2023 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of high-tech dental materials and equipment, is unveiling a new 168,000 sq. ft. facility on its South Jordan campus.

The building’s grand opening will feature a 10am MST ribbon cutting on May 3, 2023. Ultradent’s leadership, along with South Jordan Mayor Dawn Ramsey, as well as numerous state and local officials will be in attendance—including representatives from the offices of Senator Mitt Romney and Gov. Spencer Cox.

The 168,000 square foot, state-of-the-art building, which Ultradent broke ground on last year, makes room for the company’s tremendous growth—housing its injection molding, equipment manufacturing, repair facilities, and more. The building will support 24/7 operations to facilitate Ultradent’s increasing domestic and international presence. PGA&W Architecture headed up the structure’s design, and Layton Construction led the contracting work.

Of the new building, South Jordan’s Mayor Ramsey says, “Ultradent has been an incredible part of the community, both as an employer, and with their longstanding tradition of giving back. We are thrilled for their success and continued expansion. This new building marks an exciting growth benchmark for not only Ultradent, but also for South Jordan.”

Ultradent invites media to attend the ribbon cutting, which will take place at 10:00am MST today, at 10193 S. Jordan Gateway, in South Jordan, Utah. Attendees should enter at the Southeast corner of the building. Following the ribbon cutting, Ultradent will host an open house, tours of the new building, and serve refreshments and drinks to guests and media.
