  • Ultradent’s Flor-Opal Varnish

    ​Ultradent’s new Flor-Opal Varnish is the answer for dental professionals seeking a varnish that is effective, easy to prepare and pleasant tasting for the patient. Flor-Opal Varnish’s unique mixing and delivery system provides the additional benefits of controlled delivery, uniform distribution of fluoride and easy application in difficult to reach areas. 


    Flor-Opal Varnish is a 5% sodium fluoride varnish suspended in a natural resin carrier. The varnish is applied to enamel and exposed dentin as a fluoride treatment. Flor-Opal Varnish’s syringe-to-syringe mixing and delivery system overcomes the main problems inherent to other fluoride varnishes, namely the separation of fluoride from the resin carrier and difficult delivery. 

    The lack of solubility of sodium fluoride in the resin carrier results in separation of the fluoride. This separation causes inconsistencies in the therapeutic amount of fluoride placed.1 Flor-Opal Varnish’s syringe-to-syringe chairside mixing prevents the separation and assures a uniform mixture and consistent fluoride dosage. The delivery system unique to Flor-Opal Varnish also provides a quick and easy application in a no mess unit dose. 

    Flor-Opal Varnish is provided with a FX Flex tip which is designed to accommodate custom bending at any angle. This feature provides easy application of varnish in difficult-to-reach areas. The fiber tip of the FX Flex functions to control and evenly distribute the varnish.

  • Ultradent Introduces New Options for Making Impressions

    ​With its newest additions, Clone Bite and Chromaclone PVS Super Light, Ultradent now offers a complete line of impression material solutions. Clone Bite is the optimal choice for bite registrations which require advanced handling capabilities and detailed impressions. As a super hydrophilic polyvinylsiloxane material with a unique branched-resin chemistry, Chromaclone PVS Super Light has the capability to outperform other PVS materials in a wet field. 


    Clone Bite is a thixotropic material designed to provide enough resistance for exact placement in the patient’s mouth without making it difficult for them to occlude. With a sixty second time in mouth, patients won’t experience the discomfort of keeping the material in place too long. Clone Bite offers a 95 Shore A hardness, however it’s flexible enough to easily trim mounting casts. It is available in a unique orange color for easier visual placement. Each kit contains two cartridges (50-ml each) and mixing tips. 

    Chromaclone’s PVS Super Light material is the optimal choice for situations which require a controlled flow for easy and accurate syringing into a preparation. With super hydrophilic capabilities, Chromaclone Super Light tolerates moisture better than most other PVS materials while achieving the same precision as its Chromaclone counterparts. Chromaclone PVS Super Light is available in two setting times: Regular time in mouth (3:30 min) and Fast time in mouth (2:30), with a unique bubblegum flavor. Each kit contains two cartridges (50-ml each) with both mixing and intra-oral delivery tips.

  • New Flor-Opal and UltraEz Upper-Lower Combo Packs

    ​Ultradent is excited to introduce new upper-lower combo packs for both the Flor-Opal and UltraEZ desensitizing gel kits. Each kits contains 10 upper and 10 lower trays in the patented “Treswhite delivery” system. 


    Flor-Opal and UltraEz give dentists and patients the ability to treat sensitivity without the need to worry about impressions, models, or lab time. Inspired by Tréswhite packaging, each individual tray incorporates an outer delivery tray, as well as a pre-loaded, disposable adaptive tray to fit any smile. With the added convenience of 10 uppers and 10 lowers in every pack, the dentist can provide the exact quantity of applications for the area the patient is experiencing the most sensitivity. 

    UltraEZ is used for quick relief of acute sensitivity from toothbrush abrasion, thermal and chemical changes, tooth bleaching, and root exposure. Flor-Opal is designed as a long term relief solution. The solution stays active 8-10 hours overnight or 4-6 hours during the day.
