Ultradent Introduces New Enamelast® Fluoride Varnish Flavors
July 7, 2016 South Jordan, Utah
read more »Ultradent Products, Inc. is excited to introduce three new delicious flavor offerings to its Enamelast fluoride varnish line: Cool Mint, Bubble Gum, and Orange Cream. The fluoride varnish is also available in the original Walterberry flavor.
Ultradent created Enamelast fluoride varnish in response to overwhelming demand for an effective varnish that doesn’t leave an unsightly, uncomfortable, or gritty residue. Enamelast varnish finally allows patients to leave the dental office with teeth that feel clean and smooth. In addition to its silky texture, Enamelast varnish appears nearly invisible against the teeth, eliminating the embarrassment that many patients feel after other varnish treatments.
For a fluoride varnish to provide the best results, it must adhere to the teeth for the entire recommended time. Enamelast varnish features a patented adhesion-promoting agent that enhances retention, making it easier for patients to receive its full benefits. Enamelast varnish’s natural feel also makes it more comfortable to wear for a longer amount of time, allowing for maximum fluoride uptake.
Enamelast fluoride varnish comes in two convenient delivery options: unit-dose blister packs or Ultradent’s signature syringe and tip application. The Enamelast varnish unit-dose blister packs provide an ideal delivery option for the clinician who prefers the convenience of a one-time use application, or for dental clinics in hospital settings that require the use of unit-dose treatments in which all materials are packaged together. Each blister pack includes a prefilled well and applicator brush, allowing the clinician to dip the brush in the well and paint the varnish on the teeth. Conversely, the syringe delivery facilitates the ability to express Enamelast varnish through Ultradent’s SoftEZ® tip directly onto the teeth for fast application. The clinician can also choose to express the varnish onto the back of their glove before painting onto the teeth. As opposed to the unit-dose blister packs, each syringe of Enamelast varnish provides enough varnish for three to four patients.

June 14, 2016 South Jordan, Utah
read more »Ultradent Products, Inc., has announced they will donate 5% of the company’s U.S. sales on Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17, up to $30,000, to the Equality Florida’s Pulse Victims Fund following the tragic massacre this past Sunday morning in Orlando.
Of the violent attack—which claimed the lives of 49 people and injured 53 others before law enforcement fatally shot the attacker—Dr. Fischer, founder and CEO of Ultradent said, “Once again, we are reminded that we are a country at war. But this terrorist upped the ante by targeting a group of our fellow Americans who bring no oppression to others. They are our sons and daughters who are simply singled out, oppressed, even persecuted simply because of who they are. This is so wrong! This is NOT what America is about! We must band together as Americans and do everything in our power to counter such craziness, be it here at home, and/or by extremists anywhere who preach and enact hate against all others.”
He went on to say, “The victims are our sons, daughters, and family members at all levels. Our hearts and prayers are with them.”
Last, Dr. Fischer, in his statement called for appropriate action to be taken by our nation’s top government officials, quoting Albert Einstein in saying “Insanity is doing the same thing, over and over again, but expecting different results.”
He concluded by calling back to Ultradent’s Core Values, encouraging all people to “have courage and do the right thing!”
Showing one of Ultradent’s Core Values, Care, the company frequently donates to the Utah Food Bank, to various national and international dental humanitarian missions, and has made significant donations to national and international disaster and crisis victims, including Typhoon Haiyan, Hurricane Sandy, the Haiti Earthquake, flooding in Japan, and the recent earthquake in Ecuador.

Ultradent Receives 2016 Earth Day Award For Mine Reclamation Project
April 27, 2016 South Jordan, Utah
read more »The Utah Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining honored Ultradent Products Inc. with its 2016 Earth Day Award for the company’s innovative reclamation of a mine located in Tooele County, Utah. Every year, the board presents the award to Utah companies, organizations, and individuals for going beyond what is required by regulation to protect the environment while developing Utah’s natural resources.
For more than two decades, Ultradent responsibly used the site to resource and refine banded fluorite and barite found within the mine for use in its many dental products. Last August, Ultradent executives made the decision to undergo reclamation of the mine in order to return it to a post-mining land use, making it a possible and safe habitat for wildlife in the future. The project involved demolition and closing the mine, regrading, and revegetating the land.
Larry Garahana, a geologist for the Bureau of Land Management said, “Projects like this are so important because we don’t want to leave old mining disturbances on the ground for safety reasons, and it’s important to bring the landscape back to a suitable habitat and ground for wildlife and woodlands.” He continues, “Ultradent, under the direction of Peter Allred and Erwin Fischer, did a phenomenal job on this project. They went above and beyond.”
Peter Allred, Ultradent’s director of formulation technology says, “We’re a proud Utah company—all of our marketing materials and product packaging feature our iconic Utah landscapes and landmarks, and with this project, we felt a deep responsibility to clean up the site and return the land to its natural state as good corporate citizens.”
Erwin Fischer, Ultradent’s senior vice-president says, “This is something that our team can be very proud of for the effort that they put into it. They gave it their all and spend a lot of time and in the end, I think they really enjoyed it and knocked it out of the park.”
“Earth Day Awards recognize reclamation projects and innovations in environmental technology that surpass what is required by regulation,” stated Utah Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining Chairman Ruland Gill Jr. “It is an opportunity for companies to demonstrate technical expertise and pride in their industry, and concern not only for the economics of their industry, but also for our environment.”
Other companies that received the 2016 Earth Day Award include Compass Minerals Ogden, Inc., Conoco Phillips, North American Mine Services, Inc., Canyon Fuel Company, LLC, and Questar Pipeline Company for their projects.
