  • Ultradent has Multiple Products Honored with 2017 Cellerant Best of Class Technology Awards

August 17, 2017 South Jordan, UT

Ultradent Products, Inc., is pleased to announce that the Gemini® 810 + 980 diode laser, and the VALO® curing light family—which includes VALO Corded, VALO Cordless, and the largest LED curing light available on the market, VALO® Grand—have been selected as 2017 recipients of the Cellerant “Best of Class” Technology Award. Now in its ninth year, the Cellerant “Best of Class” Technology Award recognizes manufacturers and service providers for their innovations and is one of the most prestigious dental industry honors. “Being selected as a ‘Best of Class’ winner acknowledges companies that create the innovative dental technologies that will help shape the future of our profession,” said Dr. Lou Shuman, Best of Class Founder and Cellerant CEO.

This year will mark the fifth time that Ultradent’s VALO Curing Light family has been awarded the “Best of Class” Technology award. It is the first time that the Gemini 810 + 980 diode laser has been recognized for the honor. Of the distinctions, Mike Simmons, Ultradent’s Global Brand Manager of Equipment, says, “Ultradent is truly honored to receive this award for both the VALO family of curing lights and our newly launched Gemini diode laser. We strive to bring value to the dentist through innovative products, and the VALO curing lights and Gemini laser portray this goal perfectly. We are very proud of our equipment and are humbled by the praise and recognition from the Cellerant Consulting Group.”

The VALO curing light’s multiwavelength light-emitting diode (LED) and optimally collimated beam makes it capable of polymerizing all dental materials. The low-profile design of the light’s wand-style body and the large footprint of the curing head provide unprecedented access to the oral cavity. Each VALO light is precision milled from a solid bar of aircraft aluminum, ensuring unsurpassed durability. VALO Cordless is also available in the colors Graphite, Gold, Fuschia, and purple. The VALO Grand curing light features a 50% larger lens and an additional curing light on the underside of the wand.

“Best of Class” honorees are chosen by a panel comprised of leading voices in dental technology, who come together each year to discuss, debate, and decide what products merit recognition. “We research the best available technologies for an entire year leading up to the announcement of award winners,” said Dr. Marty Jablow of Cellerant. “To be selected as ‘Best of Class’ after all of that scrutiny and deliberation means that our panel is confident in recommending winning technologies to our peers.”

In addition to Dr. Shuman, the 2017 “Best of Class” panel consisted of Dr. John Flucke, Technology Editor for Dental Products Report; Paul Feuerstein, DMD, Technology Editor for Dentistry Today; Marty Jablow, DMD, known as America’s Technology Coach; and Parag Kachalia, DDS, Vice-Chair of Preclinical Education, Research and Technology, University of Pacific School of Dentistry. “Ultradent is extremely honored to be among those recognized by this extremely distinguished panel of doctors, leaders, and innovators. There is no higher recognition than to be lauded by your peers, and for that, we are humbled and grateful,” said Dr. Dan Fischer, founder and CEO of Ultradent Products.

  • Introducing UniCore® Accessory Posts Part of the UniCore® Post and Drill System

June 16, 2017 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products, Inc., proudly introduces UniCore® Accessory Posts, part of the UniCore® Post and Drill System. Designed for the general dentist and endodontist, UniCore Accessory Posts work to fill voids in the root canal, improving in overall strength of the post and core unit. UniCore Accessory Posts were created to be placed in the root canal alongside a master post, such as the UniCore Post. Adding accessory posts allows for much better adaptation in the case of flared and oval canals, eliminating the need for an additional drilling procedure.

UniCore Accessory Posts feature a tapered shaft for dentin conservation and enhanced adaptation in flared canals. This minimizes gap formation as well as polymerization shrinkage. UniCore Accessory Posts are stronger than composite resins, providing reinforcement of the restoration inside and outside. They feature high translucency for optimal aesthetics and light conductivity, and are also radiopaque, making them easy to see in radiographs.

  • Ultradent Products, Inc. Proudly Introduces Mosaic™ Universal Composite

February 21, 2017 South Jordan, Utah

Ultradent Products Inc. proudly introduces Mosaic universal composite, which balances beauty and performance for lasting, lifelike restorations. Mosaic composite can be used for all restorative purposes: basic or complex. Its well-balanced nanohybrid formula produces restorations of the highest quality. Combining the strength properties required for posterior use with the esthetic characteristics desired for anterior use, Mosaic universal composite ensures superior results both visually and functionally.

Mosaic universal composite’s smooth, pliable consistency allows for total control during manipulation. Once the material is shaped, it won’t flow or slump out of place. Available in 20 intuitive dental and enamel shades, it provides predictable shade matching using single, double, or multiple-layer techniques, as it was designed to emulate the same levels of translucency and opacity seen in natural dentition. Dentin and enamel shades also mimic the same fluorescence that occurs in natural dentin and enamel. The proprietary dispersion of nanofillers in Mosaic composite allows for a high polish and long-term gloss retention, allowing the restorations to maintain a long-term luster. Low volume shrinkage and low shrinkage stress reduce the potential for strain on the restoration during polymerization, while high compressive and flexural strength ensure that the restoration can withstand repetitive chewing and biting forces.

Mosaic universal composite comes in unique, four-gram syringes, featuring an innovative design with a smooth, contoured handle and barrel to allow for easy cleaning while still being easy to grip and identify. It is also available in convenient .2-gram unit-dose singles.
