New accelerant material greatly reduces set time of EndoREZ endodo

read more »Ultradent Products, Inc. announces the release of EndoREZ Accelerator, the first dental product that speeds the set time of an endodontic resin sealer, allowing the clinician to rapidly transition from endodontic treatment to post-endodontic restorative procedures minutes after completion of root canal therapy. The release of EndoREZ Accelerator makes EndoREZ the only self-priming, hydrophilic and biocompatible endodontic sealer system available with a fast-polymerizing accelerator component.
As the newest addition to the groundbreaking family of EndoREZ-branded products, EndoREZ® Accelerator™ reduces the set time from 15 to 30 minutes to 4 to 6 minutes, on average. The reduction in time allows the clinician, assistants and patient to complete a comprehensive root canal/restorative appointment in a shorter period of time. Also, it can enable a clinician and patient to avoid a second recall appointment to finish restorative work.
EndoREZ Accelerator is easy to administer when using EndoREZ. An accessory cone (preferably an EndoREZ point) is dipped in a single-use vial of EndoREZ Accelerator. The cone is then passively placed into a canal filled with EndoREZ sealer. The resin begins settings in seconds. EndoREZ Accelerator may only be used with EndoREZ sealer. Additionally, since the material is delivered passively using a dipped accessory cone as a carrier, EndoREZ Accelerator is not conducive to obturation methods involving thermal or lateral compaction. Also, internal testing from Ultradent shows no difference in microleakage of canals treated with EndoREZ and Accelerator. There is no concern for cytotoxicity or biological incompatibility.
EndoREZ Accelerator is packaged in a 20-vial package, with two foil blister trays of 10 vials each. Each vial is intended for single-patient use.

Opalescence Trèswhite Ortho consists of an Opalescence PF gel solution within a unique double-tray design. The external tray quickly aligns and positions the soft, thin internal bleaching tray. The internal tray comfortably adapts to any bracketed arch. The tray is loaded with an 8% hydrogen peroxide solution which travels through the enamel to bleach behind brackets. Citric Acid 20% Solution

Citric Acid 20% solution is a slightly viscous, water-soluble solution recommended as a cleanser and conditioner of prepared root canals. It cleans dentinal tubules and aids in the removal of smear layer material. It also acts as a mild chelating agent, softening dentinal walls for more efficient removal of sclerotic and necrotic tissue which in turn facilitates lubrication during instrumentation.

The UniCore Starter Kit contains ten posts – five each of sizes #1 and #2. The kit also contains a size #1 drill and size #2 drill. The UniCore post is esthetic, translucent, and is based on industrial composite technology, resulting in a post that is flexible and durable like dentin, but rigid and refined enough to provide excellent retention of coronal restorative materials. The patented UniCore drill is capable of removing up to 15 ThermaFils, gutta percha, Resilon cones, and other obturators before needing to be discarded. Peak is a versatile system with options for self-etch and total-etch techniques. Either technique results in bond strengths to dentin and enamel which outperform traditional systems.
Peak SE Primer is a self-etching primer that works specifically with Peak LC Bond Resin to achieve the highest bond possible in a single-step system of conditioning and priming the tooth for adhesion. The ethyl alcohol carrier promotes a consistent coat and penetration which allows for a longer working time, reliable bond strengths and reduced sensitivity. Peak SE Primer is offered with Ultradent’s unique syringe-to-syringe JetMix delivery system to ensure a consistent, fresh adhesive chemistry with every application. The chemistries are activated when the syringe components are mixed together and remain fresh for over 30 days.
Peak LC Bond Resin is a syringe-delivered, light-cured, resin bonding adhesive. Depending on the treatment preference, the resin can be used with either the SE Primer for a self-etch technique or Ultra-Etch for a total-etch technique. Peak LC Bond Resin incorporates a 7.5% nano filler, which penetrates tubules to reinforce and strengthen the hybrid layer. Ultradent’s JetMix™ Syringe

JetMix is a syringe-in-syringe system designed to prevent chemical degradation inherent with most single bottle self-etch adhesive systems. Components of the JetMix system are separated by a thin membrane. The chemistries within each component are mixed together when the end plunger is quickly and fully pressed (or JetMixed) into the middle barrel, rupturing the membrane. Once mixed, the self-etch primer remains fresh for over 30 days.
Self-etch adhesive systems which are packaged pre-mixed face specific challenges including degradation of mixed chemistries, which can result in reduced bond strengths.
