  • Ultradent’s Anatomical Matrix System

June 12, 2006 South Jordan, UT

Ultradent announces the release of the Anatomical Matrix System, complete with a patented matrix and retainer clamp design. The specialized design of the matrix and retainer clamp result in restorations that mimic the natural curvatures of a tooth.

The system includes four distinct shape matrices providing options for different size teeth. The thin and flexible material allows the bands to conform to any tooth surface. The specialized contours ensure that the matrix will not catch on the gingival margin during placement. The matrices are interchangeable with all brands of sectional retainers.
The system includes one distinct retainer clamp shape which can be used with any shape and size of tooth. The clamp stacks easily allowing the sides of the tooth to be held in a matrix at the same time. The clamp tines are contoured to fit precisely with the matrix bands resulting in multiple contact points and minimizing the extra space created between the teeth. All rubber dam forceps and other sectional matrix forceps can be used to place the retainer clamps.
Ultradent’s Anatomical Matrix System has a variety of kit configurations, including regular, large and extended matrix sizes. For more information about the Anatomical Matrix System, please call Ultradent Products, Inc. at (800) 552-5512, or visit us online at www.ultradent.com.

  • Ultradent’s Flor-Opal Varnish

February 14, 2006 South Jordan, UT

Ultradent’s new Flor-Opal Varnish is the answer for dental professionals seeking a varnish that is effective, easy to prepare and pleasant tasting for the patient. Flor-Opal Varnish’s unique mixing and delivery system provides the additional benefits of controlled delivery, uniform distribution of fluoride and easy application in difficult to reach areas.

Flor-Opal Varnish is a 5% sodium fluoride varnish suspended in a natural resin carrier. The varnish is applied to enamel and exposed dentin as a fluoride treatment. Flor-Opal Varnish’s syringe-to-syringe mixing and delivery system overcomes the main problems inherent to other fluoride varnishes, namely the separation of fluoride from the resin carrier and difficult delivery.

The lack of solubility of sodium fluoride in the resin carrier results in separation of the fluoride. This separation causes inconsistencies in the therapeutic amount of fluoride placed.1 Flor-Opal Varnish’s syringe-to-syringe chairside mixing prevents the separation and assures a uniform mixture and consistent fluoride dosage. The delivery system unique to Flor-Opal Varnish also provides a quick and easy application in a no mess unit dose.

Flor-Opal Varnish is provided with a FX Flex tip which is designed to accommodate custom bending at any angle. This feature provides easy application of varnish in difficult-to-reach areas. The fiber tip of the FX Flex functions to control and evenly distribute the varnish.

Unlike other varnishes with resin carriers, Flor-Opal Varnish is available in three great flavors: mint, grape and bubble gum.

Flor-Opal Varnish is the perfect solution for fluoride treatment. With its unique syringe-to-syringe system, Flor-Opal Varnish offers the delivery and consistency you can count on. For more information about Flor-Opal Varnish or any of Ultradent’s other hygiene products, please call Ultradent Products, Inc. at (800)552-5512, or visit us online at www.ultradent.com.

February 13, 2006 South Jordan, UT

Ultradent is excited to introduce new upper-lower combo packs for both the Flor-Opal and UltraEZ desensitizing gel kits. Each kits contains 10 upper and 10 lower trays in the patented “Treswhite delivery” system.

Flor-Opal and UltraEz give dentists and patients the ability to treat sensitivity without the need to worry about impressions, models, or lab time.
