read more »Ultradent Products, Inc. recently announced dates of a seminar series presented by Dr. Renato Leonardo, Araraquara Dental School-UNESP Department of Endodontics Chairman. The lecture series, Technological Resources and Biological Concepts in Minimally Invasive Endodontics, will be presented as a hands-on working seminar.
Dr. Renato Leonardo is a graduate with a Masters in Endodontics and PhD in Pathology from the Araraquara Dental School-UNESP in Brazil. He is now licensed as the school’s Head and Chairman of the Department of Endodontics’s Masters and PhD programs and invited professor at International University of Catalunya (Barcelona). He is also a member of the Regional Board of Endodontics of São Paulo (Brazil) and Vice President of the Brazilian Society of Endodontics and a member of the American Association of Endodontics . Dr Leonardo has authored numerous articles in Qualis A Endodontic Journals, three published books and lectures extensively in fifty-eight countries, including the United States.
Dr. Leonardo’s courses address the progressive general practitioner with a minimally-invasive approach. Attendees will participate in an educational presentation and hands-on section with information on vital and non-vital pulp therapy, the Anatomic Endodontic Technology (A.E.T.) System and the Apical Delivered Obturation (A.D.O.) System. The lecture will illustrate hand, rotary and oscillatory instrumentation of the root canal system as well as root canal filling materials and techniques and retreatments. It will also discuss success criteria in Endodontics.

Once visitors are logged on to ultradent.com, the first visible change is a home page filled with resources. Visitors can quickly navigate to product information, continuing education course options, an online store, or Ultradent’s library of podcasts. The improved navigation tools make finding the required resource easier.
Perhaps the most notable change is a streamlined online shopping process (https://store.ultradent.com/). Informative, printable product pages, information on price breaks, and a quick two-step checkout process make the experience hassle-free. Ultradent Dedicates New 65,000 Square Foot Manufacturing Facility Expansion

read more »Ultradent Products, Inc. will dedicate its new manufacturing facility, located at 10075 South Jordan Parkway, with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009. The 65,000 square foot expansion is the first phase of a 200,000 square foot planned expansion. The City Manager, John Geilmann, other city officials and South Jordan Area Chamber members will be present for the ceremony.
The dedication marks Ultradent’s 30th anniversary in business and completion of their first 235,000 expansion located in an adjacent lot in South Jordan. Camco Construction, GSBS Architects and Rocky Mountain Mechanical have coordinated efforts for the design and build of both locations.
With the addition of the new 65,000 square foot facility, Ultradent plans to expand their current manufacturing operation to meet increasing requirements. The expansion also includes relocation of their OEM business which has experienced tremendous growth manufacturing product for various medical and oral healthcare customers.

“The Epitome of Composite Art” presented by Ultradent Products, Inc.

read more »Dr. Frank Milnar and Dr. Brian LeSage will present “The Epitome of Composite Art: Advanced Concepts in Shade Selection and Layering” on behalf of Ultradent Products, Inc. at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg on May 15, 2009. This intensive, hands-on course will present advanced techniques for creating morphologically correct composite restorations using ceramist principles.
Clinicians experienced with complex bonding procedures will be able to reap the benefits of a course designed for the composite artist. The course offers instruction on the creative use of the artist’s “palette” to create three dimensional restorations with depth of color and realism. Attendees will leave as masters of a logical method for shade selection, including tints, opaquers, and layering techniques. Upon completion of the course, attendees will receive 8 Continuing Education Credit Hours.
Dr. Frank Milnar graduated from the University of Minnesota, School of Dentistry. Dr. Milnar maintains a full-time practice in St. Paul with an emphasis on appearance-related dentistry. Dr. Brian LeSage graduated from the University of Maryland, College of Dental Surgery. Dr. LeSage maintains a private practice in Beverly Hills, California with an emphasis on Aesthetic and Reconstructive Dentistry. Both Dr. Milnar and Dr. LeSage are accredited members and board examiners for the AACD.

Victoria L. Wallace, CDA, RDA Lectures at the Upcoming Connecticut State Dental Convention

Wallace of Ultradent Products, Inc., Certified Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Assistant since 1976, will be a featured presenter at the upcoming Connecticut State Dental Convention on May 7 and 8, 2009. Victoria’s lecture, “Totally Bonding: Do’s and Don’ts to Help Create the Ultimate Bond” will help the entire dental team improve their performance with bonding and troubleshooting existing issues. The program will include a composite hands-on exercise to help with understanding of different classifications of resin systems.
Ms. Wallace has received tremendous praise as a consistent program lecturer for Ultradent’s Continuing Education series. She is widely recognized within the industry for her professionalism and personal growth. In 2006, she was the recipient of the American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) Sullivan-Schein 12th District Award of Excellence. Ms. Wallace also received the 2007 D. Kay Mosley Distinguish Service Award for her contributions to both the ADAA and the ADAAF. She is the Immediate Past President of the Nevada Dental Assistants Association and Southern Nevada Dental Assistant’s Society and has been an active member of the ADAA for 11 years. She has also participated on the ADAA Foundation Board of Directors for the past 6 years, currently serving as the Vice Chair.
Ms. Wallace started working for Ultradent Products, Inc. in 1996. Her current position is Major Accounts Manager for the West Coast and Nebraska Dental Schools and lecturer on Dental Products and Procedures. Ms. Wallace will be a guest speaker at the Florida Dental Convention on June 18-20, 2009, the Pacific Northwest Dental Conference on July 23-24, 2009 and the ADA/ADAA convention on October 2, 2009 among several other state dental association meetings in the next few months.

Dr. Fischer’s “No Cost” CE for Surviving the Downturned Economy

read more »The 66th Annual Golden Globes Awards was broadcast with hundreds of “Opalescence Trèswhite Supreme” whitened smiles this year thanks to the Kari Feinstein’s 2009 Style Lounge in Beverly Hills, California this weekend. Guests of the style lounge included Paris Hilton, Jessica Alba and Twilight film stars Taylor Lautner (“Jacob Black”) and Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen). Proceeds of the lounge supported the Visual Impact Now organization.
Taylor Lautner was particularly excited to try Opalescence Trèswhite Supreme again. He said it was the tooth whitener he used during the filming of the highly popular 2009 film “Twilight”. Ultradent Announces Free CE Credit

read more »Ultradent Products, Inc. is sponsoring a free CE course through an educational grant. The online course, “Tissue Management Concepts”, is authored and presented by Dr. Dan Fischer. It consists of a discussion about hemostasis, tissue retraction and the procedure for sulcular control.
President/CEO of Ultradent, Dr. Dan Fischer, is a graduate of Loma Linda University. He has maintained a full time private practice for fifteen years. He is the inventor of several tissue management products which are used widely in the dental profession today. Objectives of Dr. Fischer’s course include an understating of basic tissue management concepts, a process for hemostasis and tissue retraction and an understanding of restorative dentistry-based tissue management.
