Ultradent’s Continuous Training Program Travels to Cambodia

read more »Last month, Ultradent Products, Inc. welcomed participants from all over Asia-Pacific to Cambodia to join in their successful “continuous training” certification program. Cambodia, with its present charms and extraordinary history, has had one of the best economic records in Asia for the last ten years. Cambodia’s story is not too unlike that of Ultradent’s which is full of accomplishments that rank against all odds.
The continuous training program was designed to build on the relationships and technical expertise of our partners to help them become more successful. Even though the program is only in its second year, Ultradent has seen a growing demand for its hands-on program which is “content rich and magical” in the words of trainers Karen Phillips and Steve Gerber. Karen and Steve, who together possess over 50 years dental experience, led the training with the motto “involve me and I will understand”. In this way, the reward of learning can be felt on both sides. Course participants leave with a true improvement in their clinical knowledge and a more confidant smile.
Even though the program provides an abundant amount of information, there is still fun to be had in the process. The Kool and the Gang song, “Celebration”, was the theme in introducing the much anticipated new VALO Cordless. And, with the words of Diana Ross, the participants declared “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” to illustrate their confidence upon completing the training. All participants received their certification after successfully completing the program and passing their exam. -
New Miss Singapore’s Smile Radiates Above the Rest

read more »Miss Valerie Lim, Age 25, was crowned Ms. Singapore Universe by Tania Lim, the 2010 pageant winner, at the Shangri-La Hotel last week in Singapore. All of the finalists in the Miss Singapore contest had their teeth professionally whitened using Opalescence by Drs. Jerry and Ronnie at the Orchards Scotts Dental office.
Ms. Valerie Lim, a Behavior Therapist, will represent Singapore in Miss Universe 2011, the International Pageant at Sao Paulo, Brazil in September 2011. Ms. Lim is known for her beauty blog, DWEAM.com. The judges recognized her for her confidence on stage which may have been most obviously displayed with a beautiful smile that helped her radiate through all of the elimination rounds.

VALO Cordless maintains the powerfully efficient broadband technology offered by the multiple award winning VALO, and adds a battery-operated, cordless wand for mobility.
VALO Cordless features custom, multi-wavelength Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to produce high intensity light at 395-480 nm--capable of polymerizing all light-cured dental materials. This intensity can penetrate porcelain and is capable of curing underlying resin cements similar to a quality halogen light. VALO Cordless comes with VALO rechargeable batteries and a battery charger suitable for power outlets from 100 to 240 volts. The standard lithium iron phosphate rechargeable batteries are safe, inexpensive, and optimized for power and longevity.

Ultradent Introduces Fluoride Varnish with Mess-Free Delivery and its new SoftEZ™ tip

read more »Ultradent just released Flor-Opal Varnish White, a fluoride varnish with an innovative syringe and tip delivery system for fast, simple and mess-free application. The new system comes complete with Ultradent’s SoftEZ™ tip for a paintbrush-like application that applies an even coat of varnish from start to finish.
Flor-Opal Varnish White features a unique syringe-to-syringe mixing system ensuring a consistent, even dose of fluoride is applied to each tooth. Individual syringes are packaged with a Luer Lock cap that is replaced with an empty syringe prior to application. Unlike traditional fluoride varnishes that use a “well” and brush system, the mixing process between syringes ensures a consistent application of fluoride with less mess and product waste.
Flor-Opal Varnish White is delivered with Ultradent’s new SoftEZ tip, a tip with a unibody design that avoids fiber shedding and tip clogging. Ultradent Announces Two Initiatives to Support Relief Efforts in Japan

read more »In response to the evolving humanitarian crisis that resulted from the recent 9.0 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Northern Japan, Ultradent announced plans for two initiatives to support relief efforts in Japan. Both initiatives will support AmeriCares, a non-profit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization which provides immediate emergency response and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programs around the world.
“Disasters of this magnitude require support on a global scale,” said Dr. Dan Fischer, President/CEO of Ultradent. “While we’re reassured that our colleagues in Japan are safe, we’re saddened by the state of destruction in the region and hope to do our part in helping relief and long term recovery efforts”.
Ultradent’s relief initiatives include a voluntary program for Ultradent employees to donate funds which will be matched dollar-for-dollar by the company. Details of the program have been shared with more than 1000 employees throughout Ultradent’s international network. Ultradent has also delivered hygiene aids (toothbrushes, OpalPix, etc.) for immediate support. The second initiative extends to friends and patrons of Ultradent. Facebook friends and Ultradent store visitors will be provided with the option to donate funds to an account Ultradent is preparing for AmeriCares. -
Six Miss Universe Australia WA Preliminary Contestants Were All Smiles After Making The Final Cut

read more »Twenty-four Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA finalists displayed their beautiful Opalescence-whitened smiles in the final round of competition in Perth, Western Australia last week. The six finalists, Alana Wilkie, Alycia Altieri, Ashlea Ingham, Jordi Levin, Samara Tugwell and Scherri-Lee Biggs will continue to the Miss Universe Australia crowning in Melbourne later this year. One contestant, Rebecca Johns, was crowned as the Miss Universe ToyBox Charity Ambassador for the coming year.
The Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA Preliminary started included 64 finalists which were narrowed down in 6 rounds of heats. All of the finalists prepared for heats by whitening their smiles with Opalescence Treswhite Supreme. Finalists used their “runway-ready” smiles to add extra glam as they made their way through the selection process.
ToyBox International was selected as charity foundation for the Miss Universe Australia 2011 WA Preliminary. In addition to the preliminary event, Miss Universe WA finalists participated in fundraising initiatives for the foundation through charity lunches, golf tournaments and fashion parades. The funds raised will be used by ToyBox to fill grants for local sick and disadvantaged children in need.
