Dymetech Technology

Ultradent's Dymetech monomer blend technology in Peak Universal Bond adhesive can generate higher bond strengths than bonding agents with the conventional 10-MDP monomer.1

Highest Bond Strengths to Both Dentin and Enamel2

An internal study conducted by Ultradent’s R&D team tested 15 materials for shear bond strength. Seven specimens of dentin or cut enamel were made for each set. All sets were prepared according to manufacturer’s instructions and bond strength testing was conducted according to Ultradent’s testing methods, which were since adopted by the ISO as a standard for testing. The strengths were recorded and averaged. Peak Universal Bond adhesive recorded the highest bond strengths on both dentin and enamel.3

Contains Chlorhexidine For Better Bond Strengths

Peak Universal Bond adhesive contains 0.2% chlorhexidine to help ensure long-term bond strength.2, 3 In vivo studies have shown that restorations not treated with chlorhexidine (CHX) exhibited a significant DECREASE in the structural integrity of the collagen network and in bond strength (35% bond strength degradation vs. no degradation in CHX-treated teeth).5, 6 Ultradent has set the standard for creating quality, durable restorations.

More Options for Delivery

bond adhesive bottle

Peak Universal Bond Adhesive Bottle

Use the 4 ml bottle for easy dispensing and convenient delivery with an applicator.

peak unit dose

Peak Universal Bond Adhesive Unit-Dose

The unit-dose delivery method allows for intraoral control, minimal waste, and preserving critical oxygen-sensitive ingredients.

1.2ml syringe

Peak Universal Bond Adhesive 1.2 ml Syringe

Easily switch out the tip for multiple uses with the 1.2 ml syringe. The syringe delivery also limits the air that comes into contact with the adhesive, reducing solvent evaporation.

metal dento-infuser tip

Metal Dento-Infusor™ Tip

Peak Universal Bond adhesive comes ready to use with the Inspiral Brush tip, and also works great with the Metal Dento-Infusor tip. The Metal Dento-Infusor tip works well when Peak Universal Bond adhesive needs to be scrubbed into dentin thanks to its blunt, bent cannula and padded brush end.

Technical Details

Ideal for All Bonding Procedures

The Peak Universal Adhesive System features a universal bonding agent that is compatible with both self-etch and total-etch techniques. Its universal formulation works with all bonding substrates—including dentin, enamel, porcelain, metal, composite, and zirconia. Peak Universal Bond adhesive has higher bond strengths across more indirect restorative materials than leading competitors7, making it the ideal choice for all bonding procedures.

Three Delivery Options

Peak Universal Bond adhesive is available in three delivery options: syringes for intraoral control, minimal waste, and preservation of critical, oxygen-sensitive ingredients; bottles for easy dispensing and convenient delivery with an applicator brush; and unit-dose bottles that are as easy to use as our larger bottles, but come in a convenient unit-dose size.

Saves Time and Money

Because Peak Universal Bond adhesive can be used for all direct and indirect bonding procedures, including post and core procedures, it saves you time and money by eliminating the need for material-sensitive products and reducing inventory in your office.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I’ve been a PQ1™ single-resin bonding agent user for a long time. Why would I want to switch to Peak Universal Bond adhesive?

Peak Universal Bond adhesive is the result of years of research and development, and there are a lot of advantages Peak Universal Bond adhesive offers. For example, Peak Universal Bond adhesive is only 7.5% filled where PQ1 single-resin bonding agent is 40% filled, yet Peak Universal Bond adhesive offers higher bond strengths than PQ1 bonding agent (71.3 MPa vs. 62.8 MPa, respectively). Also, Peak Universal Bond adhesive works with both self-etch and total-etch techniques while PQ1 bonding agent only works with the total-etch technique. Finally, Peak Universal Bond adhesive Contains 0.2% chlorhexidine to help ensure long-term bond strength.2 PQ1 bonding agent does not.
  • What substrates does Peak Universal Bond adhesive adhere to?

Like its name implies, Peak Universal Bond adhesive is truly a universal bonding agent. It provides excellent bond strengths on dentin, enamel, composite, metal, porcelain, and zirconia.
  • Can I use a chlorhexidine product like Consepsis™ antibacteral solution in conjunction with Peak Universal Bond adhesive?

Yes, use Consepsis after Peak SE Primer or Ultra-Etch 35% Phosphoric Acid and before Peak Universal Bond.
