Esthetic Dentistry, Redefining the Cliché
Dr. Foroud Hakim | 8 CE Credits
Patient driven, elective, full-smile makeovers no longer define esthetic dentistry. The evolution of contemporary practice has led to a much more thoughtful and patient centered approach to restoration. Tooth preservation, minimal invasiveness, biology, and function are the goals of modern practice where optimal esthetics occurs as a value-added by-product. Attendees will learn strategies for optimal adhesion to a variety of substrates including enamel, dentin, and a variety of restorative materials. The direct restorative component of the course will expand on composite layering techniques for developing three dimensionally shaded restorations. They will also learn critical aspects of delivery from full proof matrix strategies for optimal contour and contact formation to best strategies for finishing and polishing. In the indirect restorative component of the course, participants will be exposed to the latest in modern ceramics and will learn the where, why, and how of deployment.
You Will Learn
- Adhesive review
- Contemporary direct and indirect restorations
- Modern approach to post and core
- Disease and substrate driven treatment decisions
- Critical materials, techniques, technologies and adjunctive armamentarium
