Meet Our Speakers
Neil Jessop
Neil Jessop has worked in Research and Development since 1992. From 1998 to 2002 he worked in the Biomaterials Research lab at Loma Linda University in California. In 2002, he was placed at the head of Ultradent’s Research and Development department. Since then, he has been able to further research by helping to create the strongest and most durable adhesive in dentistry. His work now covers six branches of R&D, encompassing more than 100 employees. He has two amazing daughters and an extremely intelligent and talented wife of over 30 years, who is a practicing dentist.
Dr. Jaleena Fischer-Jessop
Dr. Jaleena Fischer-Jessop, DDS, MBA, graduated with honors in Oral Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 2002. She later completed a two-year certification through the American Orthodontics Society. Dr.
Fischer-Jessop served on the Utah Dental Association board for two years. She currently serves on the National Advisory
Board and has been an adjunct professor at the University of Utah Dental School since 2014. She went back to school to
earn her MBA in 2023 from the Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Dr. Fischer-Jessop has a solo dental
practice where she has worked for 22 years with an emphasis on esthetic and minimally invasive dentistry. Dr.
Fischer-Jessop has been married to Neil Jessop for 31 years and they have two children, Kazia and Cambri Jessop.
Dr. Rafael Calixto
Dr. Rafael Calixto has extensive training in the field of clinical dentistry. In his almost 20-year career, his professional performance has stood out for his dedication to restorative esthetics and oral rehabilitation with resins
and ceramics. In 2005, he specialized in this area at Unesp Araraquara/SP, one of the most prestigious universities in
Brazil. In addition to completing clinical post-graduate work, he acquired a master's degree in 2009 and a doctorate
degree in 2013 at the same institution. He has applied this education as a lecturer of both national and international
courses. All this dedication and knowledge allowed him to create a standard of excellence for his patients and students,
without overlooking the ethical principles that govern the performance of a health professional.
Dr. Renato Miotto Palo
Dr. Palo is a graduate of the Paulista University in São Paulo, Brazil. He obtained a specialized level of endodontics in a postgraduate program of the University of São Paulo in Bauru, Brazil and received his master's degree from the
State University of São Paulo, São José dos Campos, where he also worked as a collaborating professor of endodontics. He
completed his doctorate at the State University of São Paulo, Araraquara campus. He has worked as a part-time
endodontist and part-time professor and presided over two postgraduate programs in Brazil. He has organized dental
congresses, including as scientific coordinator of São Paulo Dental Meeting. He is often invited to judge master's and
doctoral theses and has also worked as an article reviewer. Dr. Palo has carried out in vitro and in vivo experiments
and has worked as a developer and evaluator of new materials. He has given more than 250 presentations in 66 countries.
Today, Dr. Palo works in the Clinical Affairs Department at Ultradent Products. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and
English.
Dr. Stephanie Garófalo
Dr. Stephanie Assimakopoulos Garófalo is a distinguished dental professional with a doctorate degree in laser dentistry from the University of São Paulo. She completed her dental degree at the same institution and is a specialist in both
periodontics and implantology. Dr. Garófalo also undertook a two-year doctoral internship at RWTH Aachen University in
Germany and is currently pursuing postdoctoral research in periodontics at the University of São Paulo. She is a
professor of the periodontics specialization course and periodontal surgery at the University of São Paulo and teaches
the Laser Habilitation course at São Leopoldo Mandic University. In addition to her academic roles, she runs a private
practice in São Paulo, Brazil.
Dr. Rafael Beolchi
Dr. Beolchi graduated in dentistry from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in 2000. He has maintained a private practice since 2001, working mainly in esthetic and cosmetic dentistry. In 2009 he received his master's degree in
Biomaterials from the Institute of Energetic and Nuclear Research at the University of São Paulo. He currently teaches
courses on esthetic dentistry with direct composites in national and international Institutes. Dr. Beolchi has several
articles about the topics of Direct Esthetic Restorations with composites and light curing. He authored six book
chapters on the fields of light curing and restorative dentistry. He collaborates with teaching institutions, both
nationally and internationally, and is a consultant on products and materials for the dental industry. He has lectured
in more than 50 countries about Operative Dentistry, mainly on minimally invasive esthetic anterior restorations and
light curing, in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. He currently works for Ultradent as the European Clinical Consultant.
Dr. Brett Richins
After earning his bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering from the University of Utah in 2008, Dr. Richins received his doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 2012. He is a member of the Academy of
General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Utah Dental Association. He continues to pursue his
education and frequently attends advanced courses that cover topics such as Endodontics, Implantology, Cosmetic
Dentistry, Oral Pathology, TMJ, Sleep Apnea, and much more. He has also done humanitarian dentistry in underserved areas
of Jamaica, Vanuatu, and Appalachia. In addition to practicing dentistry, Dr. Richins spends one day a week working as a
Clinical Advisor for Ultradent Products. Dr. Richins’s role at Ultradent allows him to be involved in testing and
developing the latest dental products.
Dr. Ana Cecilia Aranha
Dr. Ana Cecilia Aranha currently works as an Associate Professor at the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of São Paulo. She has written 95 articles for scientific journals, two books, and 15 book chapters. Dr.
Aranha received her dental degree and master’s degree in restorative dentistry from the University of Campinas and later
pursued a doctorate degree in restorative dentistry from the University of São Paulo.
