The Best Way To Whiten Teeth
For over 30 years Opalescence teeth whitening systems have helped patients get bright white smiles in safe, trusted, and reliable ways. Our products whiten teeth chemically, using hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide, and don’t rely on LED teeth whitening lights, activated charcoal, or other fads.
The carbamide peroxide in Opalescence PF teeth whitening gel whitens teeth by chemically removing discoloration deep in the enamel and dentin. Our original whitening gel formula is also sticky and viscous, preventing the gel from migrating during treatment and helping to keep the tray in place. This results in a whitening treatment that is more comfortable and effective, which means the patient receives the best teeth whitening experience possible.
At-Home Teeth Whitening Done Right
Opalescence PF teeth whitening offers patients a personalized professional teeth whitening experience in the comfort of their own home. The customized whitening trays are tailored to the patient’s smile, enhancing patient comfort and providing them the attention their smile deserves. Its efficient syringe delivery is simple to use with the custom trays and allows for the patient to dispense just the right amount of whitening gel necessary for each application. Depending on the concentration used, Opalescence PF teeth whitening can be worn day or night to better fit the patient’s lifestyle.
Create an At-Home Teeth Whitening Kit for Your Patients
While each Opalescence teeth whitening kit is effective as a stand-alone teeth whitening treatment, many patients benefit from using a combination of products to meet their needs. Because each Opalescence teeth whitening product works in combination with the others, it is easy to create a customized teeth whitening kit for any patient to take home. For example, Opalescence PF whitening is a great way to follow-up an Opalescence™ Boost™ in-office whitening treatment and go perfectly with the daily use of Opalescence™ Whitening Toothpaste.
The names Opalescence teeth whitening and Ultradent are synonymous with quality. All of our research and development is done in house. So is our manufacturing and quality control. This allows us to guide and oversee the entire process from the time an Opalescence whitening innovation is conceived to the time it’s created and packaged for shipping. We have met the strictest standards, and our facility is FDA registered and ISO 13485 certified. All of this ensures every product performs exactly as it’s supposed to for you and for your patients.
Opalescence teeth whitening products are among the most stable whitening products in the industry, each maintaining virtually all of its effectiveness over the course of its shelf life. Because delivery times vary depending on the location of each particular dental office, Opalescence whitening products are formulated with transit time in mind. Although shelf life is ultimately dependent on how each product is stored, our teeth whiteners will remain stable even after being shipped across the country1.
Formulated with High Water Content
Many whitening products on the market dehydrate teeth, resulting in uncomfortable sensitivity for patients. Opalescence PF teeth whitening gel contains high water content to help prevent teeth dehydration. This high water content also helps to reduce shade relapse, maximizing patient satisfaction.
Sweetened with Xylitol
Opalescence PF teeth whitening gel is sweetened with xylitol which may reduce the risk of tooth decay.
Perfectly Balanced pH
Because teeth whitening gel can be in the mouth for several hours at a time, it’s important to use a product with a pH that closely matches the natural pH of a patient’s saliva. When patients whiten using products that contain carbamide peroxide, like Opalescence PF whitening, the pH level of the mouth rises to a neutral level (between 7 and 8)2.
Made in the USA from Globally Sourced Materials

By purchasing products manufactured in the USA, you are supporting our nation’s economy and helping to provide jobs to hundreds of Americans who take pride in what they do.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does whitening work?
Peroxide gels break down into water, oxygen, and free radicals, which in turn oxidizes the bonds of colored molecules that cause tooth discoloration.
Free radicals are able to migrate throughout the tooth, so there is no need for the entire tooth to be in contact with whitening agent for the entire tooth to be whitened.
Will whitening affect bond strength?Even though whitening agents release a great amount of oxygen into the tooth, existing bonds are not weakened.3,4
If whitening before bonding, allow a period of 7–10 days after whitening. The high concentration of oxygen in the tooth could significantly and adversely affect polymerization of the resins.5,6
How long do whitening results last?Whitening results are very stable, but depending on the patient’s nutrition and lifestyle habits, the procedure may need to be redone periodically. Due to the safety of the whitening agents, this should not concern the dentist or patient.
Will tooth whitening cause sensitivity?Tooth sensitivity can occur as a result of whitening. If sensitivity occurs, it is transient and disappears after the completion of whitening treatments. If desensitizing treatments are desired, we recommend the use of UltraEZ™ desensitizing gel or Enamelast™ fluoride varnish. Opalescence™ Whitening Toothpaste Sensitivity Formula can also be used to help to prevent or lessen sensitivity if it occurs.
