Return Policy
Items returned within 30 days of purchase with a return authorization number on the outside and inside of the return box will be credited 100%. Product returned between 31 and 60 days from purchase date is subject to a 20% restocking fee. Ultradent will not accept returns after 60 days, with the exception of machines under warranty. Errors in shipment must be reported within 14 days of invoice date. All return authorization numbers become invalid 90 days after date of issue. A return authorization number must accompany all returns to receive proper credit. Please contact Customer Service at 800.552.5512 for assistance.
Limited Warranty
Ultradent Products, Inc. ("Ultradent") warrants that this product shall, for a period of 5 years
from the date of purchase, when operated according to the operating instructions included with
the product, (i) conform in all material respects to the specifications set forth in Ultradent's
documentation accompanying the product; and (ii) be free from defects in material and
workmanship. This limited warranty is nontransferable and applies solely to the original
purchaser and does not extend to subsequent owners of the product. This limited warranty does
not cover any accessory components such as, but not limited to, batteries, chargers, adapters,
or adaptive lenses. This limited warranty is void if the product is damaged due to negligence,
abuse, misuse, accident, modification, tampering, alteration, or failure to follow the
applicable instructions for use. To qualify under this limited warranty, proof of purchase
(e.g., sales receipt or similar documentation) must be submitted to Ultradent along with the
defective product.
Ultradent will either repair or replace defective products, in its sole discretion, that fall
under this warranty. In no event shall Ultradent's liability for the product exceed the purchase
price paid by the purchaser. Under no circumstances shall Ultradent be liable for any indirect,
incidental, foreseen, unforeseen, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in
connection with the use of this product.
EtchArrest dual-purpose acid barrier/neutralizer is applied before etching to protect adjacent hard and soft tissues and existing restorations. Use it to neutralize porcelain etch before removal to prevent acidic splatter. It is viscous enough to not run on vertical surfaces, yet it can still flow into tiny irregularities.

Technical Details
Protects Bond Strengths During Porcelain Repair Procedures
When hydrofluoric acid contacts enamel during porcelain repair procedures, formation of calcium fluoride occurs and bond strengths to enamel drop significantly.1 Therefore, it is vital to treat porcelain and tooth structure separately with appropriate acids. EtchArrest neutralizer isolates hard and soft tissues when rubber dam placement is not practical.
Neutralizes Etchants on Contact
EtchArrest neutralizer contains sodium bicarbonate and calcium to neutralize the acids in etchants. This allows EtchArrest neutralizer to create a protective barrier around the area needing to be etched, and to easily neutralize the acids when etching time is reached.
Protects Soft Tissues and Nearby Restorations
Nearby teeth and gum tissue should always be covered when using acids. The viscous, acid-neutralizing EtchArrest ensures that nearby tooth structure and membranes remain protected during the etching process.
High-Contrast Color
EtchArrest neutralizer features a dark purple tint that is easily seen against both etchants and mouth tissues.
Easy Cleanup
When EtchArrest neutralizer is mixed with etchant, the acids in the etchant are neutralized. This allows you to clean the mixture out of the mouth without fear of spraying acids onto delicate tissues. The mixture is easily rinsed off with water.

EtchArrest acid barrier/neutralizer protects adjacent porcelain and soft tissue from hydrofluoric acid. For situations where dentin/enamel are present in a preparation, use Ultra-Etch™ etchant phosphoric acid first to etch the tooth, then hydrofluoric acid second to etch the porcelain. This will ensure that dentin/enamel bond strengths are not compromised. Hydrofluoric acid will reduce adhesion to dentin and enamel, so EtchArrest neutralizer prevents accidental migration onto tooth structure.
