Technical Details

Minimally Invasive

A dark tooth—especially in the anterior region—can be embarrassing for anyone. In the past, the only options to correct such an issue involved invasive procedures like placement of crowns and veneers. But with Opalescence Endo whitening gel, you can effectively whiten a dark, non-vital tooth while keeping natural tooth structure intact.

Easy to Apply

Self-mixed pastes need to be “spooned” with a spatula from a dappen dish into the cavity. Opalescence Endo whitening gel is syringe delivered for easy, clean, and fast delivery.

Safe

Self-mixed pastes are of a relatively soft consistency, which makes it difficult to hermetically seal the cavity after placement. By contrast, Opalescence Endo whitening gel is considerably more viscous, easy to place, and can be safely covered with temporary material.

Consistent

Self-mixed pastes do not always contain the same standardized quantity of active ingredient, and thus there may be fluctuations in their efficacy. In many cases, the material needs to be replaced several times. Opalescence Endo whitening gel always has the same concentration of active ingredient, and whitening results are achieved after just one to five days. Opalescence Endo gel is ready to use, economical, and has a long shelf life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the active ingredient in Opalescence Endo teeth whitening gel?

    35% hydrogen peroxide.

  • How long do I leave Opalescence Endo teeth whitening gel in the pulp chamber?

We recommend you have the patient come back after 1 to 5 days to have the teeth whitening gel removed and the restoration completed.

  • Can I place Opalescence Endo teeth whitening gel below the alveolar crestal bone?

No. Opalescence Endo teeth whitening gel should always be placed above the alveolar crestal bone.

  • What if the non-vital tooth has restorative material in it from previous restorations?

All previous restorative materials need to be removed before placing the bleach in the tooth. This will allow the bleaching agent to come in contact the maximum amount of tooth structure for optimal results.

  • Should I err on the side of overbleaching or underbleaching?

Err on the side of overbleaching, as some regression of the teeth whitening will occur.

  • How should I store Opalescence Endo whitening syringes?

Opalescence Endo teeth whitening gel should be stored in a refrigerator.
