Dr. Ron Kaminer
Dr. Ron Kaminer graduated in 1990 from SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He maintains two practices, one in Hewlett, NY, and one in Oceanside, NY.
ADHESIVE DENTISTRY. WHY YOUR STUFF DOESN’T STICK!
All adhesives on the market claim “High Bond Strengths.” How does a practicing dentist even know what that means? You will see how they perform relative to one another when tested on both dentin and enamel. You will also learn how the application of adhesives can be dramatically impacted by you, the practitioner. What we do matters! Learn how curing lights impact this process and get past the marketing hype. Cementation of an indirect prosthesis can be a maze of materials and techniques. We will unravel the confusion with regards to cementing or bonding Zirconia, Lithium Disilicate, and others.

Dr. Shea Bess
Dr. Shea Bess graduated from the University of Utah in 1998 in Medical Biology, and received his DDS from Loma Linda University in 2002. Dr. Bess lectures all over the United States on cosmetic and restorative dentistry.
Direct & Indirect Restorations in Contemporary Esthetic Practice
We are fortunate to practice in the most exciting time in the history of restorative dentistry. This course will provide a strong foundation for the practicing dentist while providing the latest information on material science. The presentations are designed as clinical updates highlighting numerous materials such as composites, adhesives, and many others employed in case-based learning in a step-by-step format. Evidence-based data and non-biased research outcomes will be shared to provide attendees with a logical approach to material selection for their practices. A dynamic hands-on component will provide tips, tricks, and techniques that can be put in practice immediately to reduce pain points while improving efficiency and outcomes.

Dr. Sam Halabo is an accomplished national and international speaker, author, and product evaluator. For over 20 years he has run a state-of-the-art private practice in San Diego, CA. He is currently an editor for Inside Dentistry magazine.
DR. FOROUD HAKIM
Dr. Foroud Hakim has balanced private practice and dental education for over 30 years. He has a true passion for restorative dentistry ranging from complex rehabilitation to optimal and conservative single tooth restoration. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at University of the Pacific and served as course director for “Occlusion, TMJ & Advanced Restorative Concepts.”

This presentation aims to provide the most complete information about tooth whitening—from the understanding of peroxides, different concentrations, different proposals and approaches, times of use, regimens, longevity, and what actions avoid the risk of sensitivities.
DR. RENATO MIOTTO PALO
Dr. Palo is a graduate of the Paulista University in São Paulo, Brazil. He obtained a specialized level of endodontics in a postgraduate program of the University of São Paulo in Bauru, Brazil and received his master's degree from the State University of São Paulo, São José dos Campos campus, where he also worked as a collaborating professor of endodontics. He completed his doctorate at the State University of São Paulo, Araraquara campus. He has worked as a part-time endodontist and part-time professor and presided over two postgraduate programs in Brazil.

From badly debilitated teeth to esthetic and functional rehabilitation, there are certain best practices and techniques which make the difference between lasting success and premature failure.
A case-based approach will be taken to expand on topics such as:
- Contemporary post and core delivery - the when, why, and how of complex core build-ups.
- Best practices for light curing - technologies that bring assurances for depth of cure.
- Should I cement or should I bond my restorations? Our indirect restorations are not those from decades ago. Neither are the cement options. Minimally invasive/minimally prepared, partial coverage, esthetic overlays, the expanding world of zirconia, trusted silica based ceramics, desire for bio-activity, etc...there are endless complexities and considerations when choosing how to deliver final restorations.
