You know, I’m just a farmboy at heart. I’m not too complicated and pretty much what you see is what I am. But some people out there might not know that I love to garden, I love carpentry, and I love tractors and my backhoe. I love being outdoors feeling the earth beneath my hands and feet and the sunshine on my face.
Our trip to Barcelona earlier this year came right on the heels of our exciting trip to Dardilly, France, where Ultradent was honored to receive a Medal of Honor from the University of Montpellier.
The best thing for me to do is to get on my backhoe and start digging. It requires full focus and you just have to push everything out of your brain in order to operate that big hydrolic machine! I love working in my yard!
Yes, my favorite quote is the one we have in all of our conference rooms here at Ultradent, and it’s by Stephen R. Covey. It says, “Seek first to understand and then to be understood.” I can’t even say that I’m perfect at that—sometimes I slip and that’s why I think it’s important for it to be in front of me as much as possible as a reminder.
